Meet Kimberly: Millionaire in Training

Jacobs Marketing Solutions wants to give a big thank you to one of our valued team members, Kimberly Dunlap. Kimberley has been with our team since the very beginning, and her excellence and drive have elevated our team immensely. Alongside her hard work and expertise, Kimberley has brought so much personality and fun to the company culture. We enjoy each day with her, and come into the office excited to hear her latest ideas or funny anecdotes.

What is your full name?

“My name is Kimberly Rochelle Dunlap, which means little shell from the Royal Forest.”

What is your official title?

“I am an Executive Consulting Manager, Millionaire in Training, Madame Kimberly Rochelle Louise Carter Jones Dunlap the Great- that’s what I like to say anyway.”

Where were you born?

“I was born in LaGrange, GA but I grew up in Osceola, AR.”

Tell us about your hometown.

“Osceola is a small city in the delta of Arkansas, but it isn’t a town that should be underestimated. It is the hometown of Buddy Jewel, the 1st Nashville Star, and Maurice Carthon, star player and coach for the NFL. Not only that, but Johnny Cash also grew up in one of the smaller surrounding towns of Dell, AR. My hometown is small and doesn’t have a lot compared to places like Jackson, MS, but I loved growing up where I did. I wouldn’t change it for the world.
“Sometimes, you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, and sometimes in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself.” – Anonymous”

How would your parents have described you as a kid?

“As a child, I was very outgoing, goofy, and creative. Being social just kind of happened in my house. I’m one of eight children, two boys, and six girls. Needless to say, I grew up around constant action. While I was surrounded by a lot of people, I preferred my independence I was always having my own miniature adventures.”

Were you in any sports or extracurriculars?

“I’ve dabbled in quite a few activities growing up. In my younger years I did various types of dance, ballet, jazz, tap, and played soccer, but I don’t enjoy running. With my new school came basketball, as a point guard, and cheerleading, as a flyer. Then gymnastics, my forte was the vault, and softball, shortstop/pitcher/catcher. But my heart belongs to acting! I initiated the reopening of the drama department at Osceola High School and have been in numerous plays as well as commercials.”

How did that competitive environment help develop you?

“I was the one who stayed late working harder, it showed me how determination and a little hard work can ensure you achieve things you never thought possible.”

Did you have any idea you would end up in this field?

“I didn’t expect to end up doing residential sales and marketing, but with the path I am on now I don’t see myself strictly in the field in the near future.”

Where did you work before joining our team?

“I worked at Smith-House, LLC wearing various hats like managing their Perkin’s restaurant, as well as front desk tasks and auditing for their hotels. After I didn’t advance there the way I wanted to, I found a job coordinating insurance for Higginbotham Family Dental’s Blytheville, Arkansas location.”

When did you start with our company?
“I met Jay, the JMS Owner, in January of 2018. When he opened Jacobs Marketing Solutions on March 26, 2018, I took advantage of the opportunity to have a hand in building the foundation of his business.”

What were your first thoughts when starting with the company?

“The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere of the office. During my first-round interview someone passed by the room making a crazy noise, it made me smile. I am someone who enjoys having fun and have always been able to find it right around the corner.”

Kimberly, thank you for all that you do! We have enjoyed the ride with you on our team, and we can’t wait to see all that you achieve this year, Millionaire in Training.
